Elevating the Federated Crane
|
The Federated Crane is designed to accept increments in height
as the construction of floors goes upwards for enabling optimum reach and
zoom for material handling. The addition of steel structures and securing the
crane’s stability is an essential process which is well carried out by
experienced staff. The hydraulic piston movements for rising the structure to
hold the increment module is worth noting. I have spent considerable time in
observing and enjoying the process of elevating the structure by the team
from the balcony and the road side. The passers along the road used to observe the process with astonishment and curiosity. I have tried to annotate the process in images to understand the process with clarity. Most of the occasions I have observed the Federated Crane being elevated on Saturdays as the crane would be otherwise very busy during working days from Mondays to Fridays.
